Forge

Understand your CSV, TSV or JSON first, then turn it into a portable dashboard. See missing values, relationships and unusual rows. Your data stays in this browser.

Forge in half a minute

From a table to a clear dashboard: knowing the data, seeing relationships and downloading one file.

A spreadsheet export is only useful once you understand it. Paste or upload a table, and Forge profiles every column: types, gaps, and distributions. In plain language it shows which measures move together, which rows look unusual, and what is trending over time. Then build a dashboard with charts and filters, and download it as a single file that works offline. Your data never leaves the browser.

In three steps.

1

Bring the table

Paste or upload CSV, TSV or JSON; delimiter, header and decimal mark are detected automatically.

2

Understand your data

A card per column with type, missing values and distribution; relationships, unusual rows and trends in plain language.

3

Download the dashboard

One HTML file with charts and filters. It opens offline and reads well on a phone.

Frequently asked

Which file formats does Forge read?

CSV, TSV and JSON (an array of objects or { cols, rows }). Semicolon delimiters and decimal commas are recognised automatically. Limits: 4 MB, 20,000 rows and 128 columns.

What does the Insights section show?

A relationship heat map, the three strongest pairs and average differences between categories; unusual rows found with Isolation Forest; trends over time (R² of at least 0.3); data-quality notes and suggested charts. The maths runs in your browser in C/WebAssembly. The unusual-row check scores every row; relationship and trend checks use up to 24 numeric columns and 4,096 evenly chosen rows. Correlation is not causation.

How do I add a suggested chart to the dashboard?

The “Add to dashboard” button on a suggested chart puts it in the Highlights list. The exported dashboard shows those charts in its Highlights section; you can remove them one by one.

Is the dashboard I download really one file?

Yes. The data, chart scripts and styles live in one HTML file and need no internet connection. The dashboard has a dark and light theme switch. The data inside is yours; check what it contains before sharing it.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The file is processed only in your browser; the draft is stored on this device and removed by the Reset button.

How are column types decided?

Date, number, yes/no, category and text types are chosen from the values; identifiers with leading zeros are not treated as numbers. You can change any column’s type on its card; missing values are never turned into zero.
